Scammed by freeshipping.com

I have been using freshipping.com for some time now. It was all good until it wasnt. Last week they shut my account down citing I had multiple accounts from this address. But thats not true, I cancelled my account before signing up with my different and preferred email id. The real reason they cancelled me was because they owe me more than $600 in rebates, they had me go through their site for multiple purchase over the last few months and when it came time to pay they cancelled on me without notice. They didnt even sent me the check for last month. When reached out support they said they dont have any knowledge of it and a big executive will email me with explanation which I did get from a guy Joe( same guy who does customer support) saying multiple accounts violation. So respectfully asked him can you show me the dates of these accounts active but there has been no response. So I checked other complaints about this company and the pattern is the same: whenever your rebate goes a little high like greater than $200 they cancel on you without notice. I even asked them to talk to me and sort it out for the higher rebates but they never responded. Now I want to urge others who were scammed like this to do the following so others are protected:
- Reach out to the retailers and complained about this company. Return your stuff you bought from them and give them the reason
- Call you credit card company to block this merchant as put them in the black list.
- I have a corp lawyer friend who is helping me guide through this on if we can do some sort of small court case on them. Reach out to one and see if this is what you want to pursue. If I have more than 10 such cases we can all file against them together.

Free really is FREE!

I really like free shipping! I save on my purchase two ways 1) with the discounted rate on the items purchased and the rebate from the shipping cost. Love it! I would rate a 5 except sometimes the info I submit does not match up with their explanation for the cash back check I receive. At times they do not capture all of my savings so I have to call, which gets annoying. Other than that I would give them a 5. . .maybe they will read this and do better.

SCAM!!

I was shopping on a different website when FreeShipping popped up. It said it was going to send me cash back for my current order for free if I gave my name and email. Then it said it wants to know where to send my refund so asked my address. Then a different pop-up said it was going to refund directly to my card and so asked me card information. I was willing to give all this information as I wanted to avoid the $12.99 shipping charge I was paying for that particular order. Then a week later I see a charge on my credit card from FreeShipping. And turns out they were planning on taking that every month as if I was signed up to some kind of service. They never explicitly asked my permission or told me what I was going to pay or sign-up for. This in my understanding is fraud and illegal use of my personal and credit card information. Stay away!

Also, the reviews on Trust Pilot seem to be manufactured. All the good reviews are fake sounding. If you go in their analytics, the good reviews are all "invited" and bad ones are "organic". They have also removed 50 reviews (which I am guessing weren't 5 star reviews, duh!) from this website already which they will try to do with this one as well. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM!!

Canceled account still charged

I cancel my account last month through the account and your personnel apparently did not follow through with the request because I am told that the account was still active. Which caused a monthly charge. If you offer a route to do something it should work.

Yep, just received my check today a little over a month after I cancelled on the same day that I got my membership. I called them up and it was an easy process. :) they even refunded me the $1.97 fee since I cancelled the same day!
